By integrating "age" into a society for all, the approach becomes multigenerational and holistic, whereby "generations invest in one another and share in the fruits of that investment, guided by the twin principles of reciprocity and equity"."> Ageing is not a separate issue from social integration, gender advancement, economic stability or issues of poverty. It has developed a connection with many global agendas and will play, increasingly, a prominent role in the way society interacts with economic and social welfare institutions, family and community life and the roles of women. "> The Research Agenda identifies priorities for policy related research and data collection. Simultaneously, it encourages researchers to pursue studies in policy related areas of ageing where the findings may have practical and realistic applications. "> Over the past few years, the world's population has continued on its remarkable transition path from a state of high birth and death rates to one characterized by low birth and death rates. At the heart of that transition has been the growth in the number and proportion of older persons. Such a rapid, large and ubiquitous growth has never been seen in the history of civilization. "> Around 2030 there will be more people and those people will get older. Old isn't the same as ill, frail or invalid. Senior citizens are all individuals who want to live independent as long as possible. Feeling safe is important for them and they want to make their own choices. 94% of the participants stated that seniors will be able to play a fully integrated role in society in 2050.">
